What is Free Kundli Generator?
A Kundli (also known as Janam Kundli or birth chart) is a celestial map of the exact positions of planets, stars, and zodiac signs at the moment of your birth. Rooted in Vedic astrology, a Kundli is the foundation of all astrological analysis and is used to understand your personality, life path, relationships, career, and spiritual growth.
Our Free Kundli Generator uses precise calculations based on your date of birth, time of birth, and place of birth to create an accurate birth chart. The chart includes the Lagna (ascendant), planetary placements across 12 houses, and the 27 Nakshatras (lunar mansions) that form the backbone of Vedic astrology.
In addition to the main birth chart (D1), our generator provides divisional charts including D9 (Navamsha), D10 (Dashamsha), and detailed planetary position tables. This comprehensive analysis helps you gain deep insights into your karmic patterns and life purpose.

How It Works
The science and methodology behind the calculations.
Birth Chart Calculation
The Kundli is calculated using the Lahiri ayanamsa (the most widely used precession system in Vedic astrology). Your date, time, and place of birth determine the exact degree of each planet at your birth moment. The Lagna (ascendant) is calculated from the degree of the zodiac rising on the eastern horizon.
House System
The 12 houses of the Kundli represent different areas of life — from self (1st house) to wealth (2nd), siblings (3rd), home (4th), children (5th), health (6th), marriage (7th), longevity (8th), fortune (9th), career (10th), gains (11th), and losses (12th). Each planet placed in a house influences that life area based on its natural significations.
Nakshatra System
In addition to zodiac signs, Vedic astrology uses the 27 Nakshatras (lunar mansions). Your birth Nakshatra is determined by the Moon's position and reveals your mental tendencies, emotional nature, and karmic imprints from past lives.

Yes, an accurate birth time is essential for precise Lagna (ascendant) calculation and accurate house placements. Even a few minutes of difference can change the Lagna degree. If you don't know your exact birth time, an approximate analysis is still possible.
D1 (Rashi chart) is the main birth chart showing planetary positions. D9 (Navamsha) reveals the true strength of each planet and marital life. D10 (Dashamsha) focuses specifically on career, professional success, and public standing.
Your birth Kundli remains the same for life as it is based on your birth moment. However, its interpretation changes as planetary transits (Gochara) and dashas (planetary periods) activate different areas at different times. An annual review is recommended.
